Through the support of the LSP, a number of Japarkulovna’s students have achieved incredible successes, a testament to her dedication and hard work. 

The LSP’s work is primarily focused in the districts of the Naryn Oblast and aims to provide resources and professional development opportunities for government school teachers in mathematics, English language learning and Information Technology (IT). The participating teachers conduct supplementary classes to enable students to upgrade their knowledge. Students have opportunities to participate in Olympiads, various contests including essay writing contests, math contests, singing contests, and creative contests, research works, community service, and more. On average, more than 35 teachers from over 25 schools participate in the LSP programme each year. Teachers, students and school administrations are eager to improve the quality of knowledge sharing, upgrade professional development for teachers and to achieve further success in their schools. Japarkulovna is amongst these teachers who is committed to improving the outcomes for students. 

Japarkulovna has participated in training sessions, conferences, seminars, workshops, and various activities that are dedicated to improving mathematics pedagogy. She is a very active participant of the LSP and her students demonstrate excellent results. In 2015, her student, Nogoibaev Nurlan, was accepted to study at the University of Central Asia (UCA). In addition, another student, Toktomusheva Kanyshai, also became a student at UCA in 2018. Many of her students achieve scores that are significantly above average in mathematics on the Republic General Test, in regional and oblast contests, and in Olympiads. 

In February 2017, the LSP organized a research work presentation as part of a pilot project. Japarkulovna’s students presented a project entitled “Blue Whale” aimed to combat the psychosocial phenomenon of the 'Blue Whale Challenge' from 2016 which introduced elements of self-harm and suicide amongst the youth. The project was well-received by the community and won first place. Another student, Talant Kyzy Dolores, placed first in the Math Olympiad organized by the LSP. In April 2017, her student Aiylchieva Altynai placed first in a photo-essay writing contest.

 

“In my classes, I try to pay more attention to the development of the students’ logical and analytical skills and how to solve practical tasks, which we find in our ordinary life,” says Mrs. Gulmira Japarkulovna. “I will always be grateful for what I learned in LSP; all my successes are dedicated to LSP”.
